  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough (8 biscuits)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar for coating
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon for coating

Instructions

  1. Prepare the apple filling by melting butter in a saucepan. Add diced apples, sugar, and cinnamon. Cook until softened. Mix cornstarch with water, add to apple mixture, and cook until thickened. Let cool.
  2. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Flatten each biscuit dough piece into about 1/4-inch thickness.
  4. Place a tablespoon of cooled apple filling in the center of each biscuit. Fold dough to enclose filling, sealing securely.
  5. Dip each ball in melted butter and roll in a mixture of sugar and cinnamon.
  6. Arrange on the baking sheet seam-side down and bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Cool slightly before serving warm.
