  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp fine sea salt
  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsalted butter (for frosting)
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 6 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth. Add eggs and vanilla extract, mixing well.
  3. Sift in cocoa powder, flour, and salt; stir until just combined.
  4. Pour batter into a greased cake pan and bake for approximately 25 minutes. Check doneness with a toothpick.
  5. For frosting, beat together room temperature butter and cream cheese until fluffy. Gradually add powdered sugar and cocoa powder while incorporating heavy whipping cream.
  6. Once brownies are cool, layer with frosting between each brownie layer and cover the top and sides generously.
