  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder (optional)
  • 1/3 cup hot pepper jelly
  • Fresh thyme leaves or chopped parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, beat cream cheese and butter until smooth. Stir in shredded cheddar until combined.
  2. Add flour, salt, and optional garlic powder; mix until a soft dough forms.
  3. Chill the dough wrapped in plastic wrap for about 30 minutes.
  4. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  5. Roll chilled dough into 1-inch balls and place on the baking sheet.
  6. Press your thumb gently into each ball to create an indentation.
  7. Spoon half a teaspoon of hot pepper jelly into each thumbprint.
  8. Bake for 13–15 minutes until golden brown around the edges.
  9. Allow to cool slightly before garnishing, if desired.
