  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • ½ cup crushed chocolate sandwich cookies
  • ¼ cup mini chocolate chips
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 23 tablespoons milk
  • ½ cup crushed chocolate cookies
  • Extra mini chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine warm milk and yeast; let sit for 5 minutes until foamy. Stir in sugar, egg, yolk, melted butter, and vanilla. Mix in flour and salt until combined; knead until soft and slightly sticky. Incorporate blue food coloring; let rise covered in a warm area for 1 to 1½ hours.
  2. Mix softened butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon for the filling; fold in crushed cookies and mini chocolate chips.
  3. Roll out dough into a rectangle; spread filling evenly and roll tightly. Cut into 12 pieces and place in a greased baking dish. Let rise again for 30 to 45 minutes.
  4. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 20 to 25 minutes until golden brown.
  5. For the icing, beat cream cheese and butter until smooth; add powdered sugar and milk to reach desired consistency.
