  • 3 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 3 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 large egg
  • 1.5 teaspoons salt
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter (softened)
  • 1/4 cup salted butter (for garlic butter)
  • 23 garlic cloves (finely chopped)
  • 12 tablespoons fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine warm milk and yeast; let it activate.
  2. Add sugar, flour, egg, salt, and softened butter; mix until a shaggy dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a clean surface for about 15 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place in an oiled bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place until doubled (90 minutes).
  5. Divide the dough into 12 pieces and shape into balls; let them rise again for about 30-45 minutes.
  6. Preheat oven to 350°F. Brush rolls with egg wash and bake for 20-22 minutes until golden.
