  • 1 and 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
  • 1 cup pecan halves
  • 2/3 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 cup milk chocolate chips
  • Extra chopped pecans
  • Sea salt flakes
  • Drizzled caramel sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix flour and brown sugar. Cut in the cold cubed butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. Press the crumb mixture into the bottom of the prepared pan evenly.
  4. Sprinkle pecan halves over the crust.
  5. In a small saucepan, melt additional butter with brown sugar over medium heat until bubbling. Stir constantly for one minute after boiling to achieve caramel consistency.
  6. Pour caramel over the pecans and crust evenly.
  7. Bake for 18-20 minutes until golden brown around the edges.
  8. Remove from oven and sprinkle chocolate chips on top; let sit until softened before spreading.
