  • 1 1/2 cups chopped pecans, toasted
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter for glaze
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar for glaze
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 3/4 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and toast the pecans for 5–7 minutes until golden.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until fluffy.
  3. Add egg and vanilla; mix well.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually combine dry ingredients with wet ingredients until just mixed.
  6. Fold in cooled pecans gently.
  7. Scoop dough onto parchment-lined baking sheets leaving space between each cookie.
  8. Bake for 10–12 minutes until edges are golden but centers look slightly underbaked.
  9. Cool on the sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to wire racks.
  10. Prepare glaze by melting butter and brown sugar; add milk and whisk in powdered sugar until smooth.
  11. Drizzle glaze over cooled cookies and let set.
