  • 1 medium yellow onion, diced
  • 1 can chili beans, undrained
  • 46 oz tomato juice
  • 12 Tbs mild chili powder
  • 4 oz spaghetti or angel hair pasta, broken into thirds
  • 1 Tbs granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • Shredded cheddar cheese (for garnish)
  • Corn chips (for garnish)
  • Sour cream (for garnish)
  • Cinnamon roll dough

Instructions

  1. In a large pot over medium heat, brown the ground beef until it's no longer pink. Break it into small pieces for even cooking.
  2. Add diced onions and sauté until translucent, about 5 minutes.
  3. Stir in mild chili powder, broken spaghetti, chili beans (with liquid), tomato juice, sugar, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  4. Bring to a gentle boil then reduce heat; let simmer uncovered for about 30 minutes.
  5. While the chili simmers, prepare cinnamon rolls according to package instructions or your favorite recipe.
