- 2 lbs ground beef
- 1 medium yellow onion, diced
- 1 can chili beans, undrained
- 46 oz tomato juice
- 1–2 Tbs mild chili powder
- 4 oz spaghetti or angel hair pasta, broken into thirds
- 1 Tbs granulated sugar
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- 1 tsp pepper
- Shredded cheddar cheese (for garnish)
- Corn chips (for garnish)
- Sour cream (for garnish)
- Cinnamon roll dough
- In a large pot over medium heat, brown the ground beef until it's no longer pink. Break it into small pieces for even cooking.
- Add diced onions and sauté until translucent, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in mild chili powder, broken spaghetti, chili beans (with liquid), tomato juice, sugar, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- Bring to a gentle boil then reduce heat; let simmer uncovered for about 30 minutes.
- While the chili simmers, prepare cinnamon rolls according to package instructions or your favorite recipe.
- Serve chili hot with optional garnishes like shredded cheese, corn chips, and sour cream.
