  • 1 lb chicken thighs
  • 3 tbsp gochujang
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 10 bao buns
  • 1/2 cup cucumber, julienned
  • 1/2 cup carrot, julienned
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds
  • 2 green onions, sliced

Instructions

  1. Marinate chicken thighs in gochujang, soy sauce, minced garlic, ginger, and honey for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Prepare the glaze by simmering remaining gochujang, soy sauce, honey, and rice vinegar until thickened.
  3. Coat marinated chicken in cornstarch and fry in oil until golden brown.
  4. Steam bao buns according to package directions until fluffy.
  5. Assemble by filling each bun with chicken, drizzling glaze on top, and adding cucumber and carrot.
