  • 1½ cups whole milk
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup long-grain white rice
  • Fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish)
  • Lime wedges (for garnish)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 2 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
  • 2 cups broth or water

Instructions

  1. Season the steak with olive oil, paprika, cumin, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  2. Sear the steak in a hot skillet for 4-5 minutes on each side; let it rest.
  3. Rinse rice and toast in olive oil with garlic powder; cook in broth for 18-20 minutes until fluffy.
