  • 2 Ahi tuna steaks
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 6 flour tortillas
  • 2 tbsp Sweet paprika
  • 1 tbsp Chili powder
  • 1 tsp Kosher salt
  • 1/8 tsp Cayenne pepper (use 1/4 tsp if you like really spicy)
  • 810 oz of green and purple cabbage mixed
  • 1 lime
  • 1 tsp of cumin (plus more to taste)
  • 2 tbsp of chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1/4 cup green onions (thinly sliced)
  • 2 tbsp of sour cream
  • 2 tbsp of mayonnaise
  • kosher salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Pat tuna steaks dry and rub with a spice mix of paprika, chili powder, salt, cayenne pepper, and cumin.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat; sear the tuna for 2-3 minutes on each side until browned but rare in the center.
  3. Let rest before slicing.
  4. In a bowl, mix cabbage with lime juice, cumin, cilantro, green onions, sour cream, and mayonnaise.
  5. Warm tortillas; assemble by placing sliced tuna on each tortilla topped with slaw.
