Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/8 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 cup raspberries (fresh or frozen)
  • 1/2 cup sugar (for raspberry swirl)
  • A small amount of water

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine raspberries, sugar, and a small amount of water to create the raspberry swirl. Cook until thickened (5-7 minutes), then cool.
  2. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  3. Melt butter and chocolate chips in a saucepan over low heat, stirring until smooth.
  4. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the melted mixture with eggs, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until fully blended.
  5. Gently fold in flour, salt, baking soda, and baking powder until just combined; avoid overmixing.
  6. In a prepared baking pan, layer half the brownie batter and dollop raspberry swirl on top. Add remaining batter and top with more raspberry swirl; gently swirl together.
  7. Bake for approximately 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs. Cool before slicing.
