  • 1 box Betty Crocker™ Super Moist™ White Cake Mix
  • Water, vegetable oil, and whole eggs (as per mix instructions)
  • 1 1/4 teaspoons red gel food color
  • 1 1/4 teaspoons blue gel food color
  • 1 tub (16 oz) Betty Crocker™ Rich & Creamy Vanilla Frosting
  • Optional: 2 teaspoons Red, White & Blue Sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and spray a 12-cup fluted tube cake pan with baking spray.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the cake mix, water, oil, and eggs using an electric mixer until smooth.
  3. Divide the batter into three bowls: leave one white, add red food color to one bowl, and blue food color to another.
  4. Pour the red batter into the pan first, followed by the white batter. Top with the blue batter in a ring in the center.
  5. Bake for 39 to 44 minutes until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Let cool before frosting.
  6. Drizzle warmed frosting over top; decorate as desired.
