  • 1 1/4 pound fresh green beans (washed and trimmed)
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour (divided)
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups beer
  • vegetable oil for frying
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons Sriracha
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Prepare the sriracha dipping sauce by mixing mayonnaise, sriracha, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt in a bowl. Refrigerate.
  2. Toss fresh green beans in 1/2 cup flour until well coated.
  3. In another bowl, mix the remaining flour with spices and gradually add beer to create a thick batter.
  4. Heat 1-2 inches of vegetable oil in a large pot to 375°F. Dip the floured green beans into the beer batter before frying them in small batches for 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
  5. Remove from oil and drain on paper towels. Serve warm with the dipping sauce.
