  • ¼ cup pure maple syrup (Grade A recommended)
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 ½ cups powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp pure maple syrup
  • 12 tbsp milk (as needed for consistency)
  • 1 tbsp melted butter
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Cream together softened butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add egg, vanilla extract, and maple syrup; mix until smooth.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cornstarch, baking soda, and salt. Gradually combine with wet ingredients until just mixed.
  4. Chill dough for at least one hour.
  5. Scoop dough into balls and place on prepared sheets about 2 inches apart.
