Prepare the Ingredients
- Slice the brie cheese and apple. Slice the figs if not already done.
- Spread softened butter on one side of each slice of bread.
Assemble the Sandwiches
- On the unbuttered side of four slices of bread, layer brie cheese, fig slices, and apple slices.
- Top with the remaining slices of bread, buttered side facing out.
Cook the Sandwiches
- Heat a skillet over medium heat. Place the sandwiches in the skillet and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and the cheese is melted.
- Remove from skillet and let cool for a minute before slicing.
Serve
- Drizzle with honey if desired and serve warm.
