Carne Asada Tacos

Delicious tacos made with marinated flank steak, perfect for gatherings and customizable with various toppings.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 pounds flank steak excess fat trimmed
  • 2 limes juice
  • 1 orange juice
  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • ¼ cup cilantro finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • ½ teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 ½ teaspoons Kosher salt
  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 cup pico de gallo homemade or store-bought
  • 1 cup guacamole homemade or store-bought
  • 1 lime wedges for serving

Method
 

  1. Combine all marinade ingredients in a bowl and mix well.
  2. Place flank steak in a resealable bag, pour marinade over it, seal, and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
  3. Preheat grill or skillet over medium-high heat, grill steak for 5-7 minutes per side, then let it rest.
  4. Warm corn tortillas on a skillet, slice the steak against the grain into thin strips.
  5. Assemble tacos with steak, pico de gallo, guacamole, and lime juice.
