Ingredients
  

  • 500 grams ground chicken (about 1 pound)
  • 1 medium onion finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper (or to taste)
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (for grilling)

Method
 

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground chicken, chopped onion, minced garlic, and parsley.
  2. Add ground cumin, coriander, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. Wet your hands and shape the mixture into elongated oval kofta.
  4. Preheat the grill or grill pan over medium-high heat and brush with olive oil.
  5. Grill the kofta for 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
  6. In a small bowl, mix yogurt, lemon juice, and a pinch of salt to make the garlic yogurt sauce.
  7. Serve the kofta with the garlic yogurt sauce and your choice of sides.
