Ingredients
  

Beef and Marinade
  • 1 pound flank steak thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce for marinade
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch for marinade
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil for marinade
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil for marinade
Vegetables
  • 4 cups broccoli florets fresh
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 inch ginger fresh, minced
Sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce for sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce optional
  • 1 tablespoon water to thin the sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sugar to balance flavors

Method
 

Marinate the Beef
  1. In a bowl, combine the sliced flank steak, soy sauce, cornstarch, vegetable oil, and sesame oil. Mix well and let it marinate for at least 10 minutes.
Prepare the Sauce
  1. In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, oyster sauce, water, and sugar. Set aside.
Stir-Fry
  1. Heat a wok over high heat and add a tablespoon of vegetable oil. Add the marinated beef and stir-fry for about 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.
  2. In the same wok, add another tablespoon of oil, then add garlic and ginger. Stir-fry for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Add the broccoli florets and stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until tender-crisp.
  4. Return the beef to the wok, pour in the sauce, and stir everything together. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until heated through.
Serve
  1. Serve hot over steamed rice or noodles.

Notes
