Method
- Place chicken breasts into a large pot and pour in chicken broth and water to cover the chicken.
- Add diced carrots, celery, onion, thyme, bay leaf, garlic salt, salt, and pepper. Stir gently.
- Bring to a gentle boil, then reduce heat to low and cover. Let simmer for about 15 minutes until chicken is cooked.
- Remove chicken from pot, shred into bite-sized pieces, and return to pot.
- Stir in egg noodles and cook according to package instructions, about 5–7 minutes.
