Pork Chops
  • 4 pieces bone-in pork chops about 1 inch thick
Seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon salt for seasoning the pork
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper freshly ground
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
Breading
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs beaten
  • 1 cup cornmeal for extra crunch
  • 1 teaspoon paprika for flavor
Cooking
  • 1 cup vegetable oil for frying

Method
 

Prepare the Pork Chops
  1. Using a meat mallet, pound the pork chops to an even thickness.
  2. Season both sides of the pork chops with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
Set Up Breading Station
  1. In one bowl, place the flour. In a second bowl, beat the eggs. In a third bowl, combine cornmeal and paprika.
Bread the Pork Chops
  1. Dredge each pork chop in flour, shaking off excess.
  2. Dip into the beaten eggs, allowing excess to drip off.
  3. Finally, coat with the cornmeal mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
Fry the Pork Chops
  1. In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  2. Carefully add the breaded pork chops to the skillet, frying for 4-5 minutes per side or until golden brown and cooked through.
  3. Remove from skillet and drain on paper towels.
