Ingredients
  

  • 2 large ripe bananas mashed
  • ½ cup unsalted butter melted
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg for filling
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract for filling
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar for swirl
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon for swirl

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9×5-inch loaf pan by greasing it and lining with parchment paper.
  2. Mash the ripe bananas in a large mixing bowl, then whisk in melted butter, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, and ground cinnamon.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring gently until just combined.
  5. In a separate bowl, beat together cream cheese, granulated sugar, one egg, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  6. Mix the remaining granulated sugar and ground cinnamon in a small bowl for the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  7. Pour half of the banana bread batter into the prepared loaf pan, sprinkle half of the cinnamon-sugar mixture, spread the cream cheese filling, add the remaining batter, and top with the rest of the cinnamon-sugar mixture, swirling gently.
