Ingredients
  

Chicken
  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts
Coating
  • 1 cup Panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Egg Wash
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons water
Cooking Spray
  • as needed cooking spray for greasing

Method
 

Prepare Chicken
  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Place chicken breasts between two sheets of plastic wrap and pound them to an even thickness using a meat mallet.
Prepare Coating
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine Panko breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, dried Italian herbs, salt, and black pepper.
  2. In another bowl, whisk together eggs and water to create the egg wash.
Coat Chicken
  1. Dip each chicken breast into the egg wash, allowing excess to drip off.
  2. Then coat the chicken in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
Air Fry Chicken
  1. Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray.
  2. Place the coated chicken breasts in the basket in a single layer, making sure they do not touch.
  3. Air fry for 10 minutes, then flip the chicken and air fry for an additional 10 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
Serve
  1. Remove the chicken from the air fryer and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
  2. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce or side salad.
