Ingredients
  

Taco Filling
  • 1 lb ground turkey lean
  • 1 tsp olive oil for cooking
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup water for moisture
  • 8 small corn tortillas for baking
Avocado Sauce
  • 2 ripe avocados
  • 1 lime juice freshly squeezed
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 1/4 cup cilantro fresh, chopped
  • 1/4 tsp salt
Taco Toppings
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup shredded cheese cheddar or Mexican blend
  • 1/2 cup sour cream optional

Method
 

Prepare the Taco Filling
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add ground turkey and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Stir in chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and water. Simmer for 5 minutes until well combined.
Bake the Tacos
  1. Place corn tortillas in a muffin tin to shape them into taco shells.
  2. Fill each tortilla with the turkey mixture and bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes until crispy.
Make the Avocado Sauce
  1. In a blender, combine avocados, lime juice, minced garlic, cilantro, and salt. Blend until smooth.
Assemble the Tacos
  1. Remove tacos from the oven and let cool slightly.
  2. Top each taco with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, shredded cheese, and a dollop of avocado sauce.
