Garlic Butter Shrimp

Ingredients
  

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 tablespoons butter (unsalted)
  • 1 pound shrimp (large or jumbo, shelled)
  • ¼ teaspoon salt or to taste
  • 6 cloves garlic (minced)
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
  • ¼ cup fresh parsley (chopped)

Method
 

  1. Start by heating the olive oil and 2 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the shrimp and season them with salt. Cook for about 2 to 3 minutes until they turn pink. Flip them over and allow them to cook for another couple of minutes.
  2. Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes to the skillet. Stir them in and let them cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Stir in the remaining butter along with freshly squeezed lemon juice and chopped parsley. Turn off the heat and serve immediately while it's hot.
