Method
- Start by setting a small pan over medium heat. Add the butter and let it melt completely.
- Once the butter is melted, stir in the beef stock and scrape any bits off the bottom of the pan.
- Pour in the heavy cream and add Dijon mustard. Stir everything together until well combined.
- Add your crushed black peppercorns and salt to taste. Stir them in well.
- Let your sauce simmer for about 5-10 minutes while stirring often until it thickens.
- Pour the sauce directly over your favorite dish or transfer it into a small serving bowl.
