Brussels Sprouts
  • 1 pound Brussels sprouts trimmed and halved
Seasoning
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil for roasting
  • 1 teaspoon salt to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper to taste
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar for glaze
  • 1 tablespoon honey optional for sweetness
Garnish
  • 2 tablespoons parmesan cheese grated, optional
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley chopped, for garnish

Method
 

Prepare the Brussels Sprouts
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, toss the halved Brussels sprouts with olive oil, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
Roast the Brussels Sprouts
  1. Spread the Brussels sprouts in a single layer on a baking sheet.
  2. Roast in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until they are crispy and caramelized, stirring halfway through.
Prepare the Glaze
  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  2. Add balsamic vinegar and honey (if using) to the skillet, stirring to combine, and cook for another 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
Combine and Serve
  1. Once the Brussels sprouts are roasted, add them to the skillet with the glaze and toss to coat evenly.
  2. Transfer to a serving dish, sprinkle with grated parmesan cheese and chopped parsley, and serve warm.
