Ingredients
  

Burger Patties
  • 1 lb ground turkey preferably lean
  • 1 tsp cumin ground
  • 1 tsp paprika smoked
  • 1 tsp chili powder adjust to taste
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 1 small jalapeño finely chopped
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
Chipotle Mayo
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp chipotle in adobo finely chopped
  • 1 tsp lime juice
  • 1 clove garlic minced
Burgers Assembly
  • 4 buns burger buns toasted
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese optional
  • 1 cup lettuce shredded
  • 1 tomato sliced
  • 1 avocado sliced optional

Method
 

Prepare the Burger Patties
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine ground turkey, cumin, paprika, chili powder, minced garlic, chopped jalapeño, salt, and black pepper. Mix until just combined.
  2. Form the mixture into 4 equal patties.
Cook the Patties
  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  2. Cook the patties for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
Make the Chipotle Mayo
  1. In a small bowl, mix together mayonnaise, chipotle in adobo, lime juice, and minced garlic until well combined.
Assemble the Burgers
  1. Spread chipotle mayo on the bottom half of each toasted bun.
  2. Place a turkey patty on each bun, top with cheese if using, and add lettuce, tomato, and avocado slices.
  3. Cover with the top half of the bun and serve immediately.

Notes
