Method
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Melt 1/2 cup of unsalted butter in a medium saucepan over low heat.
- Stir in 1 cup of brown sugar into the melted butter until fully combined and bubbling gently.
- Remove from heat and mix in 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract and 1/2 teaspoon of salt.
- Pour 4 cups of Chex cereal into a large mixing bowl and drizzle the toffee mixture over it, folding gently.
- Spread the coated mixture onto a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for about 15 minutes, stirring halfway through.
- Let the Toffee Chex Mix cool completely on the baking sheet before serving.
